Freestyle Academy

The Freeride World Tour Academy at The Remarkables offers a slopestyle/park ski or snowboard training programme for athletes in slopestyle and freeride for competitive performance. Train with qualified and certified coaches with extensive experience in Slopestyle and Freeride, many of who have been world-class athletes themselves. Coaches will be supported by pro-riders who will share experiences and provide valuable technical advice.

The Academy will be offering a variety of options in programmes from one to four days a week as well as full-time during the July School holidays. There is a focus on preparation for a range of competitions including the SSNZ Slopestyle Series, Mini Shred and NZ Junior Freeski Nationals. Attendance at competitions is an additional cost to the programme fee. 

FWT Academy T&Cs:

Cancellations/Injury/Days Missed:

  • Any cancellations must be received 2 weeks prior to the programme start date to access a full refund.
  • If a programme cancellation request is received within 2 weeks of the programme start date, a non-refundable credit will be applied.
  • For any days of training missed due to sickness or injury or other reasons, no refunds or credit will be applied.
  • In the situation of serious injury where an athlete is not able to continue in the programme for the remainder of the season, a non-refundable credit may apply if full medical evidence is supplied.
  • In the event of any suspension or stand-downs from the FWT Academy programme for disciplinary or misconduct reasons, no refund or credit for missed days will apply.
  • A signed code of conduct agreement will be required from all athletes prior to joining the programme.

Equipment;

  • Athletes/participants require all their own equipment and lift passes (season passes).
