Our local school program for 2020 includes progressive 3 day camps and is aligned with new M.O.E ‘Education Outside The Classroom’ (EOTC) requirements. The camps will be run on three consecutive days with the same instructor to maximise progression and quality.

Program Outline:

  •  3 day local school camps are year level based:  Coaching is over 3 consecutive days with the same instructor to maximise progression and quality of experience.
    • Year 3&4
    • Year 5&6
    • Year 7&8
  • Sessions run 10:30am - 2pm with a half hour lunch break. A progressive coaching plan forms the framework for each camp.
  • Instructors will make final group splits for the 3 day camp.  This is to ensure the best progression and achievement opportunities for your child, and is based on technical skill, speed, terrain comfort and other factors.

Please select the camp block you wish to or your school has advised is best to attend.

Each 3-day camp is $160 (unchanged from 2019).

Lift Passes: Each participant in this program requires a local primary school season pass at $104.

If your child already has their NZSki mypass card to ski on from last year you can reload your pass by purchasing on the link below, calling us on 0800 697547, pay at our Shotover St Snowcentre, or purchase on mountain from our Guest Services team. New mypass cards can be picked up from our Snowcentre in town prior to the program first day.

Equipment: If you require any rental equipment at all you will be asked during the booking process below.

NZSki Transport: Is provided as part of this program. Details on pickup and dropoff locations and times will be advised directly to you as well as the schools a week prior to the programs starting on July 27th. This will be at or close to your schools.

Lunch: Please provide your own food and drink for each day on the mountain.

Location: Coronet Peak for all weekday school programs.

In case of sickness/injury/illness: Please notify bookings@nzski.com if your child will be absent from the programme for any day as well as informing the school. No partial refunds will be available.

If your child is unable to start the programme due to injury, sickness or other, with 24 hours’ notice we can reschedule to another camp if there is capacity. If this is not possible you may apply to have the amount credited to your or your child’s mypass account to the value of the programme for use at another time/year.

Confirmation details will be emailed to all programme participants booking direct with NZSki, by July 20th.
