FWTA - Full-Time Park & Freeride

Step up to the ultimate adventure in freeride and freestyle with our Freeride World Tour Academy Full-Time Programme at The Remarkables. Designed for young athletes ready to embrace the full journey toward high-level competition, this programme provides the skills, mindset, and conditioning to take on the best in slopestyle/park terrain and/or steeps terrain. 

The FWTA Full-Time Programme is a launchpad into the exciting world of competitive freestyle and freeride, preparing athletes for Minishreds, SSNZ Slopestyle, NZ Junior Freeride Tour and for some, the World Junior Freeride Tour for athletes up to 18 years. Pathways towards freestyle or freeride focus in FWTA are identified for your athlete to ensure they get the best opportunity to perform!

Programme Highlights: 

• Four Days a Week of Immersive Training: Deep dive into technical skill-building and mountain exploration on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays during the school term, plus an extra 10 days over the school holidays to keep up the fast rate of progression.
• School Holiday Training: Spend Monday-Friday during school holidays sharpening skills.
• Times: 8:45am – 2:30pm each day 

Age Requirements: 

• 9+ years
• Younger athletes with exceptional skills may apply, please contact us to confirm eligibility.

Dates & Times: 

• Term Time: 8:30am – 3:00pm
• School Holidays: 8:30am – 2:30pm
• Season Duration: Full-time programme starts Wednesday June 18, 2025 

Ability Level: 

• Athletes should be confident and in control on all terrain at The Remarkables including terrain parks, and advanced runs like the chutes. Previous competition experience is beneficial.
