FWTA - Part-Time Park & Freeride

Step up to the next level in freeride and freestyle with our Freeride World Tour Academy 2-day Programme at The Remarkables. Designed for younger athletes ready to embrace the journey towards competitive freeski and freeride, this programme provides the skills, mindset, and conditioning to level up their skills in slopestyle/park terrain and/or steeps terrain. 

The FWTA 2-Day Programme is a launchpad towards fulltime training later on. Athletes may compete in Minishreds, SSNZ Slopestyle, Grassroots Freeride and for some, potentially the NZ Junior Freeride Tour. Pathways towards freestyle or freeride focus in FWTA are identified for your athlete to ensure they get the best opportunity to develop during this popular 2-day/week programmel If you've completed Rippers or Rippers Enduro and really enjoyed park and freeride, come and join us! 

Programme Highlights: 

• Intensive Training: Two training days per week on Saturdays and Sundays during the school term plus 10 days of coaching during the school holidays to keep up momentum.
• Holiday Training: During school holiday weeks, training runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
• Times: 8:45am – 2:30pm each day 

Age: 

• 7+ years (younger athletes may apply with exceptional skills) 

Dates & Times: 

• Term Time: 8:45am – 3:00pm
• School Holidays: 8:45am – 2:30pm
• Season Duration: 2-day programme starts Saturday June 21, 2025 

Ability Level: 

• Athletes should be confident and in control on all terrain at The Remarkables including advanced runs like the chutes.
• Previous competition experience is beneficial. 

Note: A 3 Peak Season Pass or Local Schools Pass (if eligible) is required and must be purchased separately.
